If you are planning to hang your work on the wall, make sure you do not put too much materials in your work that will make it heavy.

Photographs

You can put images and text in your mixed media art by putting photo transfers and photographs on your work. This will make your work more mechanical, alive and defined. Putting text and images not created by humans but are artwork that are transferred will make your mixed art more alive and dynamic. After your transferred art is dry and as well as the glue, you can then add more layer to it. You can add light or heavy materials to make your artwork look fuller.

You can make your artwork look more interesting by utilizing knives and other materials. You can create a more striking visual by putting modeling compound on your artwork as well. You can accentuate the brushwork in your artwork by using different kinds of brushes such as large brushes and other brushes that have rough bristles. You can dent the surface of your artwork by using the tip of the knife. There are a lot of items you can use to make your artwork come to life. You can use your imagination and creativity to come up with these materials.
